Vogue Fashion Night Out Paris 2011
The Vogue Fashion Night was first introduced in 2009, to cope with the effect the financial crisis had on the world of fashion. 17 cities were part of it and shared their creativity to the public on the same day. 2 years later the Fashion Night attracts a lot of people and more cities are added each year to the list of participants.

This is an exhaustive list of the participating cities, but other are planning to celebrate the Fashion’s Night Out. As you can see, almost anywhere in the world, Vogue managed to celebrate fashion.
This event is the occasion every year to discover new trends in fashion, new designers, new creators, models (Isabeli Fontana, Anja Rubik and Natasha Poly were here all the evening, from shops to shops with Mlle Agnès from Vogue France) but it is also the occasion to meet eccentric people, surprising styles. I went to the Vogue Fashion Night in Paris last year as well, and I’m pretty sure a lot more people came this year. It was more difficult to enter the Maisons (shops) this year, especially the big ones: Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton… But once inside, you got music, champagne, cocktails and fashion of course. I remember that last year in Dior, there was a 3D broadcast of a fashion show. In the street (Avenue Montaigne, rue François 1er and Avenue Franklin-Roosevelt), reporters were frantic, excited, looking for VIP, they were also outside shooting spots for celebrities or fashion fans. As these streets were pretty overcrowded, Vogue set a Taxi services between the shops with the Mini brand.
As a result, it was pretty fun, though there was some rain. I hope I’ll be able to go the the NYC or Milan edition the next years.
Thank you to my friend Laurent Dubois (and here) who took pictures with me during the event.
